Leadership coaching is an individualized experience that can dramatically improve the quality of professional life. Pivotal Leadership Coaching will use reflective questioning techniques that will build highly effective communication skills, strengthen leadership qualities, and create goals and action plans to support leadership growth which aligned to organizational goals.

Pivotal Leadership Coaching strands align with the 7 strands of AEL, which align to the principal standards established by the Texas Education Agency & reflected in Texas Administrative Code. These strands articulate what successful school leaders must know and be able to do.

  • Effective Conferencing Skills - positively coach and mentor staff by planning conferences, engaging in reflective questioning, and providing appropriate feedback.
  • Goal setting - articulate clear and compelling goals.
  • Teacher Coaching and Mentoring - support the continuous development & growth of staff and ensure student success in the classroom.
  • Team Building Skills - help build strong teams throughout the entire staff.
  • Data gathering and analysis - use a wide variety of data to make decisions about school & classroom practices.
  • Conflict resolution skills - effectively resolve conflict.
  • Curriculum and Instruction - lead the campus in the areas of C&I through monitoring of implementation, alignment, assessment, and student learning outcomes.
  • Culture - create a positive school culture by defining the type of culture you want to work in and provide for your staff (This is not one of the 7 strands of AEL, but is a theme).
